Several Activities Based on English Literature were Organized

LPS Students Proves Their Rhetoric & Efficiency on English Language Day 2GURUGRAM : Lions Public School Sector -10 A , Gurgaon, celebrated  English Day on 24th April  to commemorate William Shakespeare’s birthday . This day was dedicated solely to English language. It offered a wide range of expressions and emotions to the students of the school. On this occasion many students from class I-XII participated in different activities.

The school was abuzz with a range of activities all dedicated to English. To mark the event several activities based on English literature were organized. The highlights of the program were Shakespearean Drama [ King Lear], Mis pronounced words and identify the proverb from the picture. Indeed it was very interesting as an opportunity to learn a lot.  Students came dressed up as their favourite literary characters and delivered their dialogues very perfectly. The rhetoric of the participating students were surprisingly well.  Sr. students of the school prepared PPT on poetic devices which were showcased in the class. The whole school was decorated with quotable quotes of Scholars of the English language  .

The activity based on English proverbs and their Hindi equivalent was also played with the authorities and children. The Children did well. Students were told about the importance of the day and the language itself. They enjoyed the celebration and learnt many new concepts.

On this language learning occasion  Rajiv Kumar, Manage of the LPS appreciated the performa of  the programme. He encouraged the students to learn lessons from every such event. He said that such events are considered as a practical day for language subjects. The students try to exchange their knowledge that enhances their dictionary of language by means of expression and thoughts.

Addressing the participant students and teachers Sr. Principal, Dr Neelima Prakash said that communication skill is the need of the hour. We all must aspire to be good communicators. It strengthens us to be established in this competitive world.

Principal Renu Verma said that such educative initiative are worth appreciation. Vice Principal  Indu Kaushik urged the students to learn from our ancient wisdom and improve our life.

Coordinator Kiran Bala, Deputy coordinator Anita Wadhwa, HOD Science Aruna Behl and HOD Exam Cell Poonam Gavri graced the occasion and actively participated in the event. Mamta Shridhar, HOD English delivered vote of thanks.
