Chandigarh, March 23 : Haryana’s Transport Minister, Anil Vij today strongly condemned the vandalism of Himachal Pradesh buses in Amritsar. He said that “This is not the right thing to do. An attempt is being made to damage the country’s federal system. This entire nation belongs to all of us, and every Indian has a right to every inch of its land. There should be no division between Punjab and Himachal; everything is ours. Such actions are taken by those who want to harm the country’s peace.”
Sh.Vij made these remarks while responding to media persons questions.
Responding to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement that “Make in India prioritizes promotion over delivery,” Anil Vij said that “Promotion happens only when there is actual delivery. Congress was known for promoting without delivering, misleading the country for 50 years. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has prioritized developmental politics and has delivered results. If Kharge is troubled by showcasing these achievements, so be it.”
Reacting to Samajwadi Party MP Ramji Lal Suman’s controversial statement comparing Muslims to Babur’s descendants and others to Rana Sanga’s descendants, Vij criticized the opposition and said that “Our opposition always tries to justify invaders, which is why such statements are made repeatedly. Why don’t they see Maharana Pratap or Shivaji as role models?” He further added, “Black sheep exist everywhere, but role models should not be black sheep. Our land is full of heroes who are our true ideals.”
Sh. Vij emphasized that “Ram is our ideal, Krishna is our ideal. The sages who gave wisdom to the world are our ideals. We do not need to look elsewhere for inspiration. Unfortunately, instead of recognizing the greatness within, we keep searching outside.”
Regarding a viral video showing Himachal’s Chief Minister appearing distressed while a minister was seen laughing, Sh.Vij commented that “This exposes Congress’s governance model. Salaries were always paid in Himachal before. What changed when Congress came to power? Why did the treasury suddenly run dry? Congress is known for draining public funds, leading to such crises.”
