Additional police force deployed at sensitive centers and strict enforcement against cheating – DC Ajay Kumar
Gurugram : DC Ajay Kumar stated that the Class 12 English paper, part of the Haryana Board of School Education’s annual board examinations, was successfully conducted in a peaceful, orderly, and transparent manner in the district. The exams were conducted on time at all examination centers and administrative officials maintained constant monitoring. He added that the Class 10 board exams will begin on February 26, for which all necessary arrangements have been completed in the district. He held a meeting with officials from the relevant departments at the Mini Secretariat and stated that negligence or irregularities at any level in the examination process would not be tolerated, and that the concerned officials should perform their duties with full responsibility.
Earlier, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held a review meeting with the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of all districts via video conferencing and directed that the board examinations be conducted in a completely cheating-free, transparent, and peaceful environment.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that a large number of students will appear for the examinations in the district this year. A total of 15,943 students (8,000 boys and 7,943 girls) will appear for the 10th grade exam and 14,446 students (7,290 boys and 7,156 girls) will appear for the 12th grade exam. All preparations have been completed in a timely manner, prioritizing the convenience and safety of the students.
He informed that the 10th grade exams will be held from February 26 to March 20, and the 12th grade exams will be held from February 25 to April 1. A total of 65 examination centers have been set up in the district, 25 in rural and 40 in urban areas.
DC Ajay Kumar stated that one examination center in the district has been designated as sensitive and arrangements have been made for additional police force, special surveillance, and regular inspections. To prevent any possibility of cheating, flying squads have been formed to conduct surprise inspections during the examination period. Mobile phones, digital watches, and other electronic devices will be strictly prohibited at the examination centers, and students will be thoroughly checked before entry.
In addition, instructions have been given to ensure drinking water, electricity, toilets, proper seating arrangements, cleanliness, and other basic amenities at all examination centers to ensure that students do not face any inconvenience. The administration has appealed to parents and the public to avoid rumors and rely only on official information. Strict action will be taken against those spreading misleading information or fake news.
Gurugram SDM Paramjeet Chahal, Badshahpur SDM Sanjeev Singla, Sohna SDM Akhilesh, District Education Officer Indu Bokan and other officials were also present in the meeting.
