In a post on social media, the Prime Minister described the young innovators as the “Yuva Urja” of India’s space sector, highlighting their willingness to take risks, embrace new opportunities and remain committed to their goals.
Modi said that the consistent efforts of these startups, combined with the government’s space-sector reforms, have helped India make significant progress in recent years. He noted that the emerging generation of space entrepreneurs has demonstrated confidence in the reform process and has taken advantage of the opportunities created by a more supportive space ecosystem.
During the interaction, representatives of various space startups made presentations on their ongoing work and technological initiatives. According to the Prime Minister, the entrepreneurs also spoke positively about the government’s reforms in the space sector and explained how these measures had encouraged them to expand their activities.
Modi assured the startups that the Government of India would continue to support them as they work towards developing India’s future space capabilities.
