Cyclothon Departed from Rewari to Nuh Covering Rural areas of Gurugram

Gurugram, April 9 : In the series of Haryana Uday Outreach Program, the Haryana Government has started the Drug Free Haryana Campaign with the aim of eradicating drug abuse from the state. Giving concrete shape to a public awareness campaign against drug abuse in various areas of the state till 25 April, this yatra departed from Rewari district to Nuh district on Wednesday covering rural areas of Pataudi block.

Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini had flagged off the cycle yatra against drug abuse while inaugurating the drug-free cyclothon from Hisar district on April 5. The said cyclothon, which is carrying the message of a drug-free Haryana in every district of the state, today called upon the villagers in villages Sidhrawali, Bilaspur and Pathredi to stay away from social evils like drug abuse and give a clean and healthy future to the coming generations. During this, at various places on the journey route, school and college students and villagers gave a grand welcome to the cyclothon participants by garlanding and showering flowers.

DC Ajay Kumar said that the objective of this cycle journey is to make all the youth of the state aware against drug abuse. He has called upon every section of the district to participate in the anti-drug cyclothon by registering enthusiastically.
