Justice Dharnidhar Jha, former Judge of the Patna and Allahabad High Court delivered a special lecture 

Gurugram : Literary and Debating Society, School of Law, Ansal University hosted a lecture commemorating Constitution Day celebrations on Tuesday, 28 November  at its premises.  Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dharnidhar Jha, former Judge of the Patna and Allahabad High Court delivered an intellectually stimulating talk on the role of the judiciary in maintaining public confidence in a democratic country like India. Justice Jha has invited all the audience to take a pledge to eradicate corruption from the political, economic and social life of the country and emphasised the need to develop the scientific temper and sense of enquiry.
 
He has also deliberated upon some of the very contentious issues the Constitution of India is facing now. Justice Jha evocatively recollected his days on the bench in Patna and Allahabad High Courts as a champion and defender of justice and civil liberties of poor and needy litigants. Justice Jha has also distributed the prizes to the winners and runner ups of the Quiz and Elocution Competitions organised as the part of the Constitution Day Celebration at Ansal University. 
 
Dean, School of Law, Prof. (Dr.) P. Lakshmi has given a welcome note and emphasised the need of inculcating the constitutional values among the current generations. The lecture was very warmly received by the students of the Ansal University
