Lions Club, Gurugram City Motivated All Teachers And Staffs
GURUGRAM: ‘Lions Club Gurgaon City’ organized a workshop at Euro International School Sect 10 A Gurugram to make aware the teachers and all staffs as well as students about the demerits of Polythene . The club has been working on “Say NO to Polythene Bags : Save Mother Earth” project for many years. Under the chairmanship of Lion D V Taneja , members of Lions club as well as thousands of Gurgaon residents are associated with this great environmental cause. On 25 th November Saturday in the presence of project chairman Lion D V Taneja , the Chairman of Euro Group of Schools Satybir Yadav and other distinguished guests the experts motivated all participants to dissociate themselves from the use of polythene .
During this very meaningful & rather purposive activity, Lion D V Taneja , Project Chairman ‘Save Mother Earth’ spoke purely to create awareness amongst the teachers. It was a first kind of such program where all 400 teachers of Euro Group if schools were present and the event was well received by curious & willing staffs. All participants made this workshop very meaningful by learning how to save our earth from the chemical effect of polythene. They were indeed keen to listen Lion Taneja very carefully and promised to participate actively in spreading this constructive thought among all Students of all schools of Prestigious Euro group as well as all sections of society.
Lion Taneja highlighted numerous harmful effects of polythene bags and their adverse as well as direct impact on the quality of air we inhale now a days. His motivating logical speech encouraged all to take a pledge to shun polythene bag & make Haryana a ploythene bag free state of this country.
Satybir Yadav , Chairman Euro Group of Schools also addressed the Seminar . Appreciating this initiative of Lions Club ,Gurgaon City he opined that educational institutions may play a vital role for this project. If we succeed in targeting all schools of Haryana we will be reaching to every family through children and plantation will take place like a public movement.
On this occasion delivering a welcome address Nidhi Kapoor ,Principal Euro International School Sector 10 A Gurgaon elaborated some scientific facts of the Polythene . She assured that all teachers of Euro group will accelerate this important issue among their students who are the best bridge between the society and educational institutions . She also shared her experiences and put forward their views against polythene bags.
Lion Rajesh Jaiswal ,President Lions club Gurgaon city was of the opinion that teachers are the real motivater. They prepare our future citizen. If this new generation become sensitive about the earth our country will be heaven.
Lion Col (Retd) Sunil Kumar Sobti , Club Secretary,Lions Club Gurgaon city said that if we want to save our future generation healthy, we shall have to work on it collectively .He opined that we must realize our responsibility and act upon it without any delay. He clearified that law of land works in its own way but educational institutions have to understand it’s responsibility too. He said that we ourselves should be more sensitive about our surrounding.
Speaking on this subject Dr Neelima Prakash Sr. Principal , Lions Public School Sector 10 A , Gurugram pointed out some scientific datas related to harm caused by polythene to the world . She explained the legal Perspective framed by various states about this subject and urged all to keep away from polythene for ever .
Lion Anil wadhwa also briefed some points about chemical effects of plastic and requested all participants to save the earth from this evil.
Nitin Yadav ,Director ,Euro Group assured that all teachers of Euro International will brief the students and motivate them for maximum plantation.
Rajiv Kumar (Manager) ‘Lions Public School’ were also present in the event and expressed his views by means of public interest. He said that Under the chairmanship of Lion D V Taneja this movement has achieved a lot but still we have to walk more for the betterment of our environment and the society.
Lion Rajkumar and Kiran Jaiswal wife of Lion Rajesh Jaiswal President Lions Club ,Gurgaon City were also present on this occasion and encouraged all teachers to be an effective envoy of Save Mother Earth.
Thanking all experts and guests ,Nidhi Kapoor ,Principal Euro International School , Sector 10 A , Gurgaon announced that Euro group of Schools will organize a special plantation drive very soon. On this occasion Jute bags were also distributed to all participant teachers .
