- 3 illegal encroachments demolished, 15 important intelligence reports shared
- 22 arrested for cyber fraud, Rs 59 lakh saved
Chandigarh : Haryana Police launched a comprehensive and intensive operation under ‘Operation Hotspot Domination’ with the aim of strengthening law and order in the state and instilling fear among criminals. During this special operation, conducted on December 4, 2025, various police teams simultaneously raided 707 identified hotspots (crime-prone areas) across the state. This vigilance by the police resulted in the registration of 92 new criminal cases in just one day, and the arrest and imprisonment of 165 accused involved in various crimes. Severe blow to drug network and arrest of drug smugglers
Reiterating its commitment to making the state drug-free, the police have effectively crippled drug traffickers during this campaign. In ground-level raids, the police have successfully recovered significant quantities of drugs. A total of 4.33 kilograms of marijuana, 218 grams of opium, 2 kilograms of poppy husk, and over 85 grams of heroin were seized from various districts. In addition, 890 narcotic pills and 23.5 grams of smack were also recovered from drug smugglers. Police action, particularly in districts like Sirsa and Fatehabad, has dealt a severe blow to the drug trafficking network, sending a clear message that drug traffickers have no place in Haryana.
Major blow to illicit liquor and weapons stockpiles
The supply of illicit liquor and weapons has been a major challenge in the criminal world, and this operation paid special attention to curbing them. Police teams seized a large quantity of illicit liquor across the state, totaling over 1,000 bottles, including 839 bottles of country liquor, foreign liquor, and other illicit liquor. Additionally, 570 liters of raw liquor was seized. Police also achieved significant success against illegal weapons. Three pistols and five live cartridges were recovered from criminals. Five new cases were registered under the Arms Act, and five accused were arrested.
Circumvention of Gangsters and Violent Criminals
The Haryana Police’s zero-tolerance policy against organized crime and gangsters was also evident in this operation. By activating intelligence, the police succeeded in arresting 22 dangerous and violent criminals. Additionally, the police strengthened interstate police coordination and shared 15 important intelligence reports with neighboring states to prevent criminals from exploiting state borders. In this connection, a Look Out Circular (LOC) has been issued in Fatehabad district, and a proposal has also been sent to revoke the passport of a violent criminal to prevent them from fleeing abroad.
Bulldozers and confiscation of criminally acquired property
The police are no longer limited to apprehending criminals, but have also begun to attack the ill-gotten gains of crime. Inflicting economic damage, action has been taken to attach (confiscate) the criminally acquired property of a violent criminal in Fatehabad district. Meanwhile, in Hansi district, the police and administration jointly demolished three illegal encroachments made by violent criminals. This step was taken to dry up the criminals’ financial sources and send the message that property acquired through crime cannot remain secure.
The Humanitarian Side of Khaki: Protection as well as Service
While the police have been a thunderbolt against criminals, they have also extended a helping hand to those in need. “Operation Hotspot” wasn’t limited to apprehending criminals, but also underscored the police’s community responsibility. During their duty, police officers assisted 399 people across the state who were in distress or need. This statistic proves that the Haryana Police is as ruthless in enforcing the law as it is sensitive in serving and protecting citizens.
