New Delhi : Chief of the Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth paid a courtesy call on Raksha Rajya Mantri Sanjay Seth in New Delhi on July 17, 2026, during which key issues related to national security and defence preparedness were discussed.
The interaction focused on the prevailing security environment, operational readiness of the Indian Army, capability enhancement initiatives, and ongoing force modernisation efforts.
General Dhiraj Seth briefed the Raksha Rajya Mantri on the Army’s continued measures to strengthen operational preparedness and enhance its capabilities to effectively respond to emerging security challenges.
The meeting also highlighted the Indian Army’s sustained efforts towards achieving greater self-reliance in defence, modernising its forces, and ensuring robust preparedness to safeguard the nation’s security interests.
The engagement reaffirmed the government’s commitment towards strengthening India’s defence capabilities and supporting the armed forces in their mission to protect the country.
