New Delhi : In the lead-up to the Commonwealth Games 2030, proposed to be hosted in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the Sports Authority of India (SAI), in collaboration with MyBharat, has launched three nationwide engagement initiatives aimed at promoting sports culture, creativity and youth participation across the country.

The initiatives include the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Contest’, the ‘CWG Reel Challenge’ and the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz’. Open to all MyBharat users, the campaigns are designed to generate awareness and enthusiasm around the vision of ‘#CWG2030InBharat’.

As part of the Torch Design Contest, participants have been invited to create torch concepts reflecting India’s culture, heritage, innovation, sustainability and sporting excellence. Entries can be submitted either digitally or in hand-drawn format along with an optional concept note of up to 200 words. The online contest will be held from May 11 to May 20, 2026, and participants are allowed to submit only one entry each. Selected winners will receive Fit India hampers and certificates of recognition, while all eligible participants will be provided digital participation certificates.

Under the ‘CWG Reel Challenge’, participants are encouraged to create original reels showcasing India’s growing sporting culture, local sports infrastructure, fitness initiatives and enthusiasm for hosting the Commonwealth Games 2030. Participants may also include messages supporting India’s bid and wishing success to the Indian contingent for CWG 2026. The reel duration has been capped at 60 seconds. The challenge is being conducted from May 7 to May 16, 2026, with one entry allowed per participant. The top five creators will receive Fit India hampers from SAI.

The third initiative, the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz’, aims to highlight India’s sporting legacy and spread awareness about the country’s journey in the Commonwealth Games. The quiz consists of 10 multiple-choice questions to be completed within five minutes, and participants must score at least eight marks to qualify. Only one attempt per participant is permitted. The quiz is open from May 9 to September 26, 2026, with the top five winners to be announced every week. Participation certificates will also be issued.

According to SAI, all three initiatives are free of cost and intended to encourage greater public engagement, particularly among the youth, while fostering creativity, national pride and collective enthusiasm for the successful hosting of the Commonwealth Games 2030 in India.
