New Delhi/Helsinki: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal held a productive meeting with Mr. Jussi Herlin, Vice Chair, and Mr. Ilkka Hara, Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of KONE Corporation, to explore opportunities for expanding the company’s presence in India.
During the interaction, discussions focused on strengthening KONE’s manufacturing capabilities, research and development (R&D), and innovation ecosystem in India, while encouraging the company to scale up exports from its India-based operations to global markets.
The Union Minister highlighted the vast opportunities available under the ‘Make in India’ initiative and invited KONE Corporation to further integrate with India’s growing industrial and innovation landscape.
Piyush Goyal encouraged the company to leverage India’s skilled workforce, expanding infrastructure sector, and favourable business environment to become a stronger partner in the country’s growth journey.
