-Awareness program organized at Sector 31 polyclinic on World Oral Health Day

Gurugram, March 20 : An awareness program was organized at the polyclinic in Sector 31 on Thursday on the occasion of World Oral Health Month with the aim of creating awareness about oral health and hygiene. The program was inaugurated by Maternal and Child Health Director Dr. Virendra Yadav. Various educational workshops, free dental checkup camps and awareness campaigns will be conducted during the World Oral Health Month.

Dr. Yadav, in his address, underlined the importance of oral health and said that adopting good oral hygiene practices not only keeps teeth and gums healthy, but it also has a positive effect on overall health. He said that many health problems like heart disease, diabetes can be prevented by taking care of teeth and gums. In the program, senior dental surgeon Dr. Madhu called upon the people and the community to clean teeth regularly, brush with fluoride toothpaste, floss and get regular checkups from the dentist. He especially advised children and the youth to adopt better oral hygiene habits so that their teeth and gums can remain healthy throughout their lives.

On this occasion, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Rashmi explained the importance of oral health. She also told that we must brush at least twice a day. It is noteworthy that World Oral Health Day is celebrated every year on 20 March all over the world. The purpose behind celebrating World Oral Health Day is to make people aware of their oral hygiene. Let us tell you, World Oral Health Day highlights the importance of prioritizing oral health care and preventing oral diseases.

Health experts and the general public participated enthusiastically in this program. On this occasion, Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr. Pradeep, Dr. Anuj, Dr. JP, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Manoj, Dental Surgeon and RBS team were present.
