Houston: Union Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Manohar Lal has arrived in Houston, Texas, where he is scheduled to participate in the G20 Energy Abundance Ministerial Meeting from September 14–16, 2026, under the US G20 Presidency.
The minister is expected to take part in discussions with Energy Ministers and senior representatives from G20 countries on key global energy priorities, including energy security, affordability, resilient energy supply chains, infrastructure development and access to reliable power.
The Houston meeting will provide an important platform for countries to exchange views on building secure, affordable and resilient energy systems, while addressing emerging challenges linked to critical minerals, technology and energy infrastructure.
The G20 Energy Ministerial is part of the wider series of ministerial engagements leading up to the G20 Leaders’ Summit, scheduled to be held in Miami in December 2026.
