Gurugram, March 20 : Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini released the first installment to 36 thousand eligible beneficiaries of the state through video conference and congratulated all the beneficiaries of the state. Addressing the beneficiaries, he said that it is the responsibility of the government to provide a permanent house to every poor family and to fulfill the same responsibility, the double engine government of the Center and the state is working fast.

In the program organized at the Mini Secretariat, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar released the first installment to 96 beneficiaries of the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin by pressing the button. He said that under the first installment, each beneficiary will get 45 thousand rupees to start building a house. Today, a total amount of 43 lakh 20 thousand rupees has been given to 96 beneficiaries of the district.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the main objective of the government is that every citizen should have a roof over his head. The first need to live life is to have one’s own house. Every citizen dreams of having his own house, where he can live his life with comfort. Due to this, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is being run. To make this scheme more strong, Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana is being implemented in the state.

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar said that the Central and State Government are working with priority to fulfill the dream of a pucca house for the poor. On this occasion, while wishing the beneficiaries present, he said that they should use this money only for building houses so that they can get more money in future. He told that under this scheme, one lakh 38 thousand rupees will be given to each beneficiary.

During this, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the officers of the concerned departments present that they should ensure that houses are provided to every needy and eligible person so that every citizen’s dream of having his own house comes true.

Survey will continue in the district till 31st March. Chief Executive Officer of District Rural Development Authority Jagnivas informed that as per the order of Rural Development Ministry, Government of India and Housing for All Department, Haryana, in order to make the dream of a permanent house come true for the families living in kutcha/dilapidated houses, homeless, under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin in Gurugram district, the government has started the survey work for the previously deprived families. The last date for the new survey has been fixed as 31st March by the Government of India. Eligible families can get their survey done by the surveyor registered by the department or by self survey (also by themselves). During this, Ajay Swaroop, Assistant Project Officer, DRDA from Zila Parishad and Scheme Incharge Kishan of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin etc. were present.
