New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday launched the registration portal for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, marking a significant step towards women’s financial empowerment in the national capital. Eligible women can now register for the scheme through the official portal.

Under the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, every eligible woman will receive ₹2,500 per month as financial assistance. The Delhi Government has said the initiative is aimed at strengthening the financial security of women and promoting their economic independence.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the scheme is more than just a financial assistance programme and is intended to instill confidence and self-reliance among women.
“Every eligible woman will receive ₹2,500 per month as financial assistance. For many women, this will be the reassurance to move ahead with greater confidence. For many families, it will strengthen security. For Delhi, it is an investment in the strength, dignity and aspirations of its women,” she said.
The Chief Minister stated that the initiative reflects the Delhi Government’s commitment to Nari Sashaktikaran (women’s empowerment) and to creating greater opportunities for women to become financially independent and active partners in the city’s development.
She further said that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Delhi Government is committed to ensuring that every woman has the opportunity to become more empowered, more self-reliant, and an equal partner in Delhi’s journey of progress.
The Delhi Government recently approved the scheme with the objective of providing direct financial support to eligible women across the capital. The programme is expected to benefit a large number of women through monthly direct financial assistance, subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions.
