New Delhi: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), under the Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has launched the CSIR Science & Innovation Quiz (CSIR SciQuiz) on the MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) Portal.
The initiative is being organised as part of the activities marking CSIR’s 85th Foundation Day celebrations and aims to bring science, innovation and India’s research achievements closer to citizens, particularly the youth.
The quiz is being conducted from 20 to 26 September 2026 and is open to all Indian citizens. It features multiple-choice questions covering CSIR’s scientific achievements, technologies, innovations, research institutions and contributions to society and nation-building.
The questions span a wide range of areas, including healthcare, agriculture, environment, infrastructure, energy, aerospace, biotechnology and strategic technologies. Through these themes, the quiz highlights how CSIR’s research and technological innovations are being translated into practical solutions for society and industry.
The CSIR SciQuiz seeks to encourage scientific curiosity, awareness and public engagement with science through an interactive learning platform. Participants can explore the work of India’s premier network of research laboratories while gaining insights into scientific breakthroughs and innovations that have contributed to the country’s development.
Adding to the excitement, participants also have an opportunity to win a day-long visit to a CSIR laboratory of their choice, providing them with first-hand exposure to India’s scientific research and innovation ecosystem.
The initiative will continue beyond the September edition, with additional quiz sessions planned on the MY Bharat Portal in the coming months. These sessions will cover different aspects of CSIR’s research, technologies, innovations and achievements.
With the message “Explore. Learn. Compete. and Win,” the CSIR SciQuiz invites citizens to engage with India’s scientific journey and become part of CSIR’s continuing effort to take science and innovation closer to society.
