Union Minister Pralhad Joshi Reviews Education Ministry Priorities, Emphasises Timely Reforms and Effective Implementation

New Delhi: Union Minister for Education, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and New and Renewable Energy, Pralhad Joshi, said that the Ministry of Education has undertaken a series of comprehensive review meetings to assess key priorities and accelerate reforms in both school and higher education since he assumed charge of the ministry.

Sharing details of the ongoing review process, the Minister said detailed meetings have been held with officials of the Department of School Education and Literacy and the Department of Higher Education to evaluate the current status of various initiatives and chart the roadmap for future reforms.

Pralhad Joshi said that critical issues affecting the education sector are being addressed on priority to ensure their timely and effective resolution.

He appreciated the support extended by officers of both departments during the transition, stating that their cooperation has been instrumental in advancing the Ministry’s agenda.

“The officers of both departments have been extremely supportive during this transition, and together we remain committed to strengthening India’s education ecosystem under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” the Minister said.

He further informed that another comprehensive review meeting was held today to examine a broad range of issues concerning School Education and Higher Education.

According to the Minister, the discussions focused on expediting reforms, improving implementation of government initiatives, and ensuring that education policies are executed efficiently to enhance learning outcomes across the country.

Pralhad Joshi reiterated the Government’s commitment to building a robust, inclusive and future-ready education system through timely policy interventions, effective governance and continuous monitoring of key programmes, in line with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the broader objective of transforming India’s education ecosystem.
