Dehradun: Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, addressed the Convocation Ceremony of the 2024–26 batch of Indian Forest Service (IFS) probationers at the Forest Research Institute (FRI) campus in Dehradun on Friday, congratulating the young officers as they prepare to begin their careers in the service of the nation’s forests, wildlife, and environment.
Addressing the newly inducted officers, the Minister extended his best wishes and praised them for choosing a profession dedicated to the conservation of India’s rich natural heritage.
He said the young officers would play a crucial role in protecting the country’s forests, preserving biodiversity, safeguarding wildlife, and promoting sustainable management of natural resources.
Congratulating the probationers, Bhupender Yadav said they are embarking on a career devoted to the protection of India’s forests, wildlife, and natural heritage, carrying forward the responsibility of conserving the country’s ecological wealth for future generations.
Highlighting the importance of their role in India’s long-term development, the Minister said that the officers completing their training in 2026 would become the leaders responsible for shaping the environmental and conservation agenda of Viksit Bharat 2047, the vision of a developed India envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He emphasized that their commitment, integrity, professionalism, and spirit of public service would be instrumental in strengthening the country’s conservation efforts and addressing emerging environmental challenges.
