BJP President Nitin Nabin accuses Congress and Opposition of avoiding discussion, says government ready to answer every question related to youth issues

New Delhi : Members of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) staged a protest at the Makar Dwar of Parliament on Thursday, raising slogans against what they described as the “political drama” by opposition parties over the ongoing student protests at Jantar Mantar and allegations of police lathi charge during demonstrations on 20 June 2026.

The protest was led by MPs from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its NDA allies, who criticised the Congress and the INDIA alliance for their approach towards the issues concerning students, including the alleged NEET paper leak controversy and demands raised by protesting students.

The NDA MPs alleged that the opposition was attempting to politicise student-related issues instead of participating in a constructive discussion inside Parliament.

Targeting the opposition parties, BJP leaders said that the government was ready for a detailed discussion on all issues concerning students and youth and was prepared to respond to every question raised by the opposition.

BJP National President Nitin Nabin said that the NDA government was committed to addressing the concerns of the country’s youth and welcomed a discussion on all relevant issues.

“The NDA government is fully prepared for the future of the youth, ready for discussion, and prepared to answer every question,” Nitin Nabin said.

Accusing the opposition of avoiding debate in Parliament, he said, “But the Congress, including Rahul Gandhi, and the entire opposition are running away from discussion because they know that when they come to the floor of the House to discuss, their double standards will be exposed to the world.”

Issuing a challenge to the opposition, the BJP president said, “We give them an open challenge: Come, let us discuss students, youth, NEET—every issue on the floor of Parliament.”

The NDA protest comes amid a political confrontation between the ruling alliance and opposition parties over the handling of student demonstrations, alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, and demands for accountability from the government.

While opposition parties have accused the government of failing to address students’ grievances and have raised concerns over alleged police action during protests, the NDA has maintained that it is committed to transparency, discussion, and finding solutions through parliamentary debate.
