Gurugram : Welfare Centre for Persons with Speech and Hearing Impairment celebrated the grand victory of their students in the 5th National Blind and Deaf Judo Championship (15th to 17th Jan, 2017), Gurugram who have won 71 medals in total representing Haryana State. Sh. T.L. Satyapraksh, IAS , Director cum Special Secretary, Town and Country Planning, Haryana and Sh. Hardeep Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman of the Centre, Gurugram graced the occasion along with members of Haryana Blind and Para Judo Association .
The occasion turned into an emotional farewell with the students bidding adieu to Sh. T.L. Satyaprakash, IAS the erstwhile Chairman, W.C.P.S.H.I. who acknowledged Sh. Hardeep Singh, IAS as the new Chairman in a symbolic ceremony of passing the baton expressing the reverence and love of the entire W.C.P.S.H.I. family in form of a touching poem. Dr. Sharanjeet Kaur, Principal expressed her gratitude to Sh. T.L. Satyaprakash for his incredible contribution to the centre as the Chairman for the last two years.
She also welcomed Sh. Hardeep Singh, IAS as the new Chairman and DC, Gurugram introducing him to the various stakeholders, CSR and NGO partners like Colt Technologies, United Way, SNS Foundation, Inner Wheel Club, Rotary Club, Utthan, Dharohar and many other volunteers who had been part of the journey so far.
