New Delhi : Around 9,000 citizens of the United States have been evacuated from the Middle East following the outbreak of hostilities linked to US-Israeli strikes on Iran, according to US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Rubio said the US government has increased its efforts to assist nationals who wish to leave the region as security concerns continue to rise. Authorities are coordinating evacuation support and travel arrangements to help Americans safely depart affected areas.
The large-scale departures come amid escalating tensions across the Middle East, with several countries issuing advisories and taking measures to ensure the safety of their citizens.
