Instructions for timely garbage collection and regular monitoring from garbage points

Joint team to take strict action against illegal garbage dumping

Gurugram :  Gurugram Divisional Commissioner R.C. Bidhan stated that maintaining the city’s sanitation system is the administration’s paramount responsibility. He directed officials to treat sanitation work as a mission linked to public service and public health, not a mere formality. The Commissioner emphasized the need for continuous monitoring of cleanliness in each area, proper utilization of resources, and responsible action. He also emphasized that teamwork and coordination are essential to maintaining a clean and attractive city.

During a meeting held in the auditorium of the local Mini Secretariat, the Divisional Commissioner instructed officials to work responsibly and vigilantly at all levels to ensure smooth sanitation in the city. He said that officials should ensure that garbage is collected from every garbage point on time every morning, and that no point remains without a garbage trolley. All trolleys should be emptied at least twice a day, and garbage should also be collected regularly from secondary garbage collection sites. He also directed that staff be stationed near each garbage trolley to prevent littering and to raise awareness among citizens about cleanliness.

Mr. Bidhan said that the sanitation system should be maintained in such a way that no one, anywhere, can inspect it at any time. If any dirt is found during inspection, action will be taken against the concerned person as per the rules.

The Divisional Commissioner directed the corporation officials to provide additional teams to all ward in-charge HCS officers so that they can ensure the cleaning of their respective areas. He gave clear instructions that the sanitation system should be completely improved within the next three days. Under this, all roads, streets, green belts, GVPs, and secondary points should be cleaned to ensure our city looks clean. He clarified that garbage, polythene, C&D waste, industrial waste, medical waste, etc. should not be visible anywhere.

It was decided in the meeting that action will be intensified against those illegally dumping garbage and debris. Under this, a joint team of the Municipal Corporation, RTA, and Police Department will take action. This team will seize vehicles illegally dumping garbage and debris and will ensure that the vehicles are released only on custody through the court.

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya, ALC Kushal Kataria, GM Roadways Bharat Bhushan Gogia, CTM Sapna Yadav, HIPA Joint Director Jyoti Nagpal, and other officials were present in the meeting.
