Industry Minister Rao Narbir Singh Visits Bandhwari Waste Management Plant

Gurugram  : Haryana’s Industry Minister Rao Narbir Singh on Sunday inspected the Bandhwari Waste Management Plant located on Gurugram-Faridabad Road and gave necessary guidelines to the officials regarding the operation and beautification of the plant. He laid special emphasis on increasing transparency and effectiveness in the operation of the plant as well as environmental balance.

Emphasis on greenery and environmental protection

During the visit, the minister gave clear instructions that dense and beautiful trees should be planted on the Faridabad Road side of the plant so that the greenery of the area increases and the pollution level decreases. Along with this, he asked to ensure strong arrangements to prevent leakage of leachate outside the plant. He directed that the leachate treatment plant should be built within the main campus so that pollution control can be improved. Instructions were also given to build a dam on the outer perimeter of the plant and plant trees there.

Instructions to explore the possibilities of a separate water treatment plant for local villages

Rao Narbir Singh instructed to explore the possibilities of setting up a separate water treatment plant keeping in mind the water needs of the villages located around the plant. He told the officials to make concrete plans for the development and cleanliness of rural areas.

The Municipal Commissioner gave information about the development works

Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya informed the minister that the work of installing view-cutters in the plant is almost complete, which will improve its external image. Apart from this, the construction work of boundary wall construction, plantation and inner circular road will be started soon. Dahiya said that a project has also been proposed on this plant by NVVNL.

After visiting Bandhwari, the minister also inspected Rajiv Chowk and gave instructions to speed up the beautification work there. After this, an important meeting was organized at the local Public Works Department Rest House, in which serious brainstorming was done on the problem of waterlogging in the Najafgarh drain area.

In the meeting, the Industry Minister proposed that an artificial lake can be built on the lines of Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh in the Najafgarh drain area, which can turn this area into a major tourist destination. He asked the concerned departments to prepare a practical proposal in this direction.

In-depth discussion on waterlogging solution

In the meeting, long-term plans were also discussed for a permanent solution to the problem of waterlogging at places like Rajiv Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Hero Honda Chowk, Narsinghpur.
