2-Day International Conference at K.R.Mangalam University

Experts will Discuss English Language and its Applications

GURUGRAM : School of Humanities at K.R.Mangalam University is organizing a 2-day international conference on the theme “English Language, Literature & Communication: Innovations & Applications in the Teaching –Learning Scenario” scheduled to be on 3rd& 4th of February 2017 at K.R.Mangalam University campus. The Chief Guest of the Conference is Prof.(Dr.)Bhim Singh Dahiya, the former Vice Chancellor of Krukshetra University.

 

The Keynote speech is by Prof.(Dr.)Rukmini Bhaya Nair, School of Linguistic Studies, IIT, Delhi. Prof.(Dr.)Stephanos Stephanides from University of Cyprus & Prof. (Dr.)Ami Upadhyay from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat will be delivering the Plenary talks. There is a Creative session headed by the renowned poet Dr.Keki.N.Daruwalla with a team consisting Dr.Sujata Parashar, Dr.Dolly Singh & Mr.Kulpreet Yadav on the Role of Poetry in the Digital Era. The Panel Discussion on the Pedagogy and Practices of English Language in the Age of Social Media will be by a panel formed by Prof.(Dr.)Sandhya Tiwari (ELT Expert from Hyderabad), Mr.Caesar Lorento (Theatre Director from Spain), Mr.Gana Sow (Advisor for Language teaching as a foreign language  from Senegal), Mr. Enrique Sanz ( Entrepreneur & Economist from Colombia) & Mr.Diego Valdivia Vizcarra (Entrepreneur & Researcher from Peru).

 

There are four workshops by experts on various innovative practices on ELT. More than 100 delegates from all over India and a few from abroad will be presenting papers on their selected topics related to the conference theme. This heavy academic activities will wind up on the first day with a cultural programme by the students of K.R.Mangalam University. The University remains highly optimistic about the academic value and the intellectual and pedagogical contributions of this conference to the Educational world.
