MOTIHARI: A teenage murder witness was hit by a biker on Thursday .The biker is alleged to be named accused in that murder case,which is under hearing before court. The incident committed two days before she was supposed to depose in a Motihari court.
Shweta Kumari, 19, an undergraduate student of the Mahatma Gandhi Central University of Bihar, was attacked when she was going to write her exam. She claimed the motorcyclist who hit her from behind with an intention to kill her, was an accused in the murder of her brother last year.

In her complaint to the police, Kumari said that she had been receiving threats not to pursue the murder case of her brother. The police have lodged a criminal case in this connection. Kumari’s brother, Siddharth Raj, 13, was shot last year on august 29,2015 Raj had reportedly developed intimate relationship with a girl, her brother did not approve of. Kumari, who claims to be a witness to the murder of her brother, has accused the girl’s brother, Prince Pandey, and five others to have killed Raj. The other murder accused are Vishal Dubey, Rajen Sahni, Prashant Kumar, Raja Kumar and Mani Kumar, all believed to be Pandey’s friends of the six accused, the police have so far been able to nab Pandey, a minor, and Dubey. The remaining four accused are still absconding.
Town inspector helped to lodge FIR
Town police station inspector, Ajay Kumar, said: “We have registered a case on the basis of the girl’s complaint. The girl has alleged that she was receiving threats to stay away from deposing in court in connection with the murder case of her brother. On the basis of the girl’s complaint, the person who tried to bump her off is also an accused in the killing of her brother.”
SP Jitendra Rana, when HT apprised the matter ordered immediate arresting of remaining culprits in the case and assured to put up the matter before juvenile justice board to ensure return of one of the named accused in the Prince Pandey, who is not in remand home since his arresting on the ground of mental illness.
The victim girl said they had earlier attempted to eliminate me by a bolero. On Thursday, Rajan Sahani , who never arrested despite his accusation become clear in police investigation was driving the bike dashed my bicycle. Locals rescued me and admitted in hospital.
Faulty investigation
Dsp Pankaj Rawat investigated the case and exonerated one of the accused without any sufficient ground. Victim claimed that the witnesses named the culprits and also arrested persons reveals the involvements of others in the case. She said that DIG of Champaran Rang helped Rajan Sahani in its reviews in the case which instigated Sahani to repeat the criminal acts.
Notably, Prince Pandey and others invited Sidharth through Face book messenger and shot him dead.
In a somewhat similar case in Gaya, 107 kms south of Patna, a physically challenged eyewitness in a murder case, was burnt alive at Narawat village in Atari police station area on Tuesday, a day before his deposition in court.
