Chandigarh : A Swedish delegation led by Patrik Antoni, CEO of IKEA India, called on Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at Sant Kabir Kutir, Chandigarh, and discussed the company’s ongoing and future investment plans in the state.
During the meeting, the IKEA delegation expressed gratitude to the Haryana Government for its continued support and cooperation towards the company’s ambitious Gurugram project, which is set to become IKEA’s largest retail outlet in India.
The upcoming project involves an investment of approximately ₹4,000 crore and is expected to create around 10,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing a major boost to the state’s retail, services, and employment ecosystem.

The delegation also conveyed IKEA India’s interest in recruiting skilled manpower through the Haryana Foreign Cooperation Department, further strengthening employment opportunities for local talent.
Discussions also covered IKEA’s upcoming investment proposals and expansion plans in Haryana. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini assured the company of the state government’s full support and reaffirmed Haryana’s commitment to promoting a business-friendly environment, facilitating investments, and encouraging industrial growth.
The meeting highlighted the growing economic partnership between Sweden and Haryana and reflected the state’s efforts to attract global companies through investor-friendly policies and robust infrastructure.
