New Delhi : A memorable diplomatic visit has concluded, further strengthening the India–Japan partnership towards shared strategic horizons.
The Prime Minister of Japan, Sanae Takaichi, departed from India following the highly successful 16th India–Japan Annual Summit. She was seen off by Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh, marking the end of a significant three-day official engagement.
The visit reaffirmed the strong commitment of both countries to nurture a comprehensive partnership that remains crucial for mutual growth, prosperity, and regional stability. Both sides reiterated that the India–Japan relationship continues to serve as an important pillar for promoting peace, prosperity, and stability across the Indo-Pacific and beyond.
Earlier, before her departure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted a dinner in honour of Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi on Thursday evening.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Takaichi expressed her appreciation, stating that the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Modi provided a warm and relaxed setting beyond formal diplomatic discussions.
She noted that in an informal atmosphere, both leaders discussed not only India–Japan bilateral relations and global developments, but also exchanged views on culture, cuisine, and personal impressions of each other’s countries, which helped deepen mutual trust at a personal level.
Prime Minister Takaichi conveyed her heartfelt gratitude for India’s rich and diverse culinary traditions and for Prime Minister Modi’s gracious hospitality.
She further stated that building on the strong foundation of trust established with Prime Minister Modi, Japan is committed to elevating India–Japan relations to even greater heights as both countries move towards the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations next year
