New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Karnataka and Telangana on May 10, 2026, where he will participate in major spiritual, healthcare, infrastructure, industrial, and connectivity-related programmes aimed at boosting regional development and improving public welfare.
The Prime Minister will begin his visit in Bengaluru at around 11 AM by participating in the 45th anniversary celebrations of The Art of Living. Founded in 1981 by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the organization has evolved into a global volunteer-driven humanitarian and educational movement with a presence in 182 countries. The event will also mark the 70th birthday celebrations of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
During the programme, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the newly built Dhyan Mandir at the Art of Living International Centre, envisioned as a dedicated meditation and wellness space promoting inner peace and holistic well-being. He will also launch several nationwide service initiatives focused on mental wellness, rural development, environmental conservation, and social transformation.
Following the Bengaluru programme, the Prime Minister will travel to Hyderabad, where he will lay foundation stones, inaugurate, and dedicate multiple development projects worth approximately ₹9,400 crore. The projects are aimed at strengthening connectivity, improving logistics efficiency, enhancing industrial growth, and modernizing public infrastructure in Telangana.
Among the major projects, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the four-laning of National Highway-167 from Gudebellur to Mahabubnagar under the Hyderabad–Panaji Economic Corridor. Developed at a cost exceeding ₹3,175 crore, the highway project is expected to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time by nearly 90 minutes, lower fuel consumption, and enhance connectivity between Telangana and Karnataka while promoting industrial growth.
He will also lay the foundation stone for the Zaheerabad Industrial Area in Sangareddy district under the Hyderabad–Nagpur Industrial Corridor (HNIC), being developed as part of the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme. Spread across 3,245 acres and being developed at a cost of more than ₹2,350 crore, the smart industrial township is expected to support sectors such as automobiles, food processing, machinery, metals, and electrical equipment. The project is projected to attract investments of nearly ₹10,000 crore and create significant employment opportunities.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the PM MITRA Park at Warangal, also known as the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, developed under the PM MITRA Scheme at an estimated cost of around ₹1,700 crore. Equipped with world-class infrastructure and sustainable facilities, the park is expected to enhance textile manufacturing and exports.
In the railway sector, projects worth approximately ₹1,535 crore will also be dedicated to the nation. These include several sections of the Kazipet–Vijayawada multi-tracking project covering 118 kilometres, aimed at increasing railway line capacity, reducing congestion, improving punctuality, and boosting freight movement along the busy Grand Trunk corridor. The Kazipet Rail Under Rail Bypass will also be dedicated, improving operational efficiency and easing congestion at Kazipet Junction.
Further strengthening the energy infrastructure, the Prime Minister will dedicate Indian Oil Corporation’s Malkapur Terminal Project in Hyderabad, developed at a cost of over ₹600 crore. The terminal has been established to enhance petroleum product handling capacity and meet the region’s growing energy requirements.
In a significant boost to healthcare infrastructure, the Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation Sindhu Hospital, a state-of-the-art cancer-focused multi-super speciality quaternary care institution in Hyderabad. Spread across 2.1 million square feet with 18 floors, the hospital has a capacity of 1,500 beds, more than 150 consultation rooms, and 29 advanced operation theatres. The institution will provide comprehensive treatment facilities including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, cancer surgeries, bone marrow transplants, advanced critical care, and more than 33 super specialities supported by modern diagnostic and laboratory infrastructure.
