Envoys Meet Nepal PM Balendra Shah, Reaffirm Support for New Government and Bilateral Cooperation

New Delhi /Kathmandu : Ambassadors and Heads of Diplomatic Missions based in Kathmandu paid a joint courtesy call on Balendra Shah at his office in Singhadurbar , Kathmandu on Wednesday.

According to the press statement of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Nepal released on ‘X’ the meeting saw participation from envoys representing a wide range of countries and organizations, including India, Pakistan, South Korea, United Kingdom, Qatar, Switzerland, France, Israel, Japan, Bangladesh, Germany, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, China, United States, as well as representatives from the United Nations.

It is mentioned that during the interaction, the envoys extended their congratulations to Prime Minister Shah and conveyed goodwill messages from their respective heads of state and government. They reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the new government and expressed readiness to enhance cooperation for the benefit of the people of Nepal.

Reiterating Nepal’s balanced and pragmatic foreign policy approach, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of strengthening ties with neighboring countries, longstanding partners, and development stakeholders. He emphasized that future engagement would be guided by mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision of prosperity.

the statement said that acknowledging the continued international support for Nepal’s development journey, Shah expressed gratitude for the goodwill extended by partner nations and organizations. He also highlighted that peace must remain a common priority and stressed the government’s focus on ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of Nepali workers and the broader diaspora worldwide.

The Prime Minister of Nepal further outlined his administration’s commitment to promoting good governance, accelerating economic growth, and improving the quality of life for citizens.

The meeting was also attended by Shisir Khanal, Political Advisor Asim Shah, Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, along with other senior government officials.
