New Delhi : In response to the escalating situation in the Middle East and Persian Gulf, IndiGo Airlines has initiated a special repatriation process for stranded passengers. An IndiGo spokesperson confirmed that four flights are currently operating to Jeddah, with an additional flight scheduled later today to Muscat.

Indigo has released a travel advisory on social media X and said that ” We understand how the ongoing situation has impacted travel plans, especially when they involve returning home or being with loved ones. Please know that we stand with you during this time and are going all in to support you with care, prudence, and responsibility.”

Indigo has said that ” We are progressively reinstating select flights as part of a carefully planned restoration of our schedule, with safety as our highest priority and close consideration of the evolving situation. Operations are being resumed in line with prevailing airspace conditions, with all necessary approvals already in place. If you are scheduled to travel, we kindly request that you wait for confirmation from us before proceeding to the airport. ”

Starting March 4th, IndiGo plans to increase flight frequencies and seat availability, ensuring the safe and gradual resumption of operations. The airline aims to restore services to key destinations including Muscat, Jeddah, Medina, and Athens, with a total of 13 round-trip flights planned in the coming days.

Special flights to the UAE are also being considered from March 4th, subject to local aviation regulations and safety clearances. IndiGo is closely monitoring the evolving Middle East crisis to determine flight schedules for other affected destinations. Passenger safety remains the airline’s top priority as flights gradually resume.

This move comes amid heightened regional tensions, and the airline is committed to ensuring safe travel for Indian nationals and international passengers stranded in the Gulf and neighboring regions.
