Ajmer / New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth ₹16,686 crore in Rajasthan, aimed at strengthening infrastructure and boosting economic growth in the state.

Addressing a public gathering in Ajmer, the Prime Minister described the city as a land of faith and valor, known both as a pilgrimage centre and for its association with revolutionary heroes. He also referred to his recent visit to Israel, noting that people there continue to remember the bravery of Major Dalpat Singh, a son of Rajasthan, and that he had the opportunity to pay tribute to him in the Israeli Parliament.

During his address, the Prime Minister criticised the Indian National Congress, alleging that the party had historically weakened the country and its armed forces. He also accused the Congress of attempting to defame India on international platforms.

Highlighting recent developments, the Prime Minister said the “double-engine government” led by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Rajasthan has completed two years and is accelerating development across the state. He noted that the newly inaugurated and announced projects—worth nearly ₹17,000 crore—will improve public services and generate employment opportunities for the youth.

He further emphasised efforts to strengthen governance and transparency in recruitment processes, stating that incidents of examination paper leaks have been curbed and strict action is being taken against those responsible. On the occasion, appointment letters were also distributed to more than 21,000 youths in Rajasthan.

The Prime Minister also launched the HPV vaccination campaign from Ajmer, describing it as an important step toward empowering women and safeguarding the health of young girls across the country.
