Lucknow : Today marks the 101st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The BJP is organizing several programs across the country. As part of this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Rashtra Prerna Sthal’ (National Inspiration Site) in Lucknow today. Grand bronze statues of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, along with Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, have been installed there. The site also features a state-of-the-art museum showcasing the contributions of these three prominent leaders who made significant contributions to Indian politics.
Addressing a public meeting at the Prerna Sthal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused previous Congress governments of neglecting the contributions of national leaders. He said that the BJP and NDA government treats everyone equally. He said that today, Atal Ji’s birth anniversary, is also a day to celebrate good governance.
The PM said that for a long time, slogans like “Garibi Hatao” (Remove Poverty) were considered synonymous with good governance, but Atal Ji truly implemented good governance on the ground. He said that the foundation for the digital identity that is so widely discussed today was laid by Atal Ji’s government. He claimed that in the past decade, crores of Indians have overcome poverty.
He said this was possible because the BJP government, following the philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, prioritized those who were left behind, those at the bottom of the ladder. He emphasized that before 2014, about 25 crore citizens were covered under the government’s social security schemes. Today, about 95 crore Indians are covered under this safety net.
He said that the land on which this Prerna Sthal is built, more than 30 acres of it, was previously a mountain of garbage. This has been completely cleared in the last three years. PM Modi congratulated all the workers, artisans, planners, Yogi Ji, and his entire team associated with this project.
He said that the Rashtra Prerna Sthal is a symbol of the ideology that has shown India the path of self-respect, unity, and service. He added that for decades, the contributions of tribal communities were not given due respect. Our government built the magnificent memorial to Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Just a few weeks ago, the Shaheed Narayan Singh Tribal Museum was inaugurated in Chhattisgarh. He reminded the audience that the memorial to Maharaja Suheldev in Uttar Pradesh was also built under the BJP government.
He added that the meeting place of Nishadraj and Lord Rama has finally received the respect it deserves. He said that several former Prime Ministers served in the past decades, but they did not receive a place at the memorial site in Delhi during the Congress rule. The Prime Minister said that it was the NDA government that brought down the wall of Article 370.
On this occassion Defence Minister rajnath Singh, UP Governer Anandiben Patel, UP Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath and UP Dypt CMs as well as many MP and MLAs were also present .
