HPTI Organizes Training Program on Prevention of Electricity Theft , Officers and Employees of DHBVN Participated

Gurugram : The Haryana Power Training Institute (HPTI), Panchkula, organized a one-day training program for officers and employees of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) in Faridabad on Friday.

HPTI Director VS Mann stated that the training focused on “Proper Procedure for Investigating Power Theft, Managing Court Cases, Filing FIRs, Witness and Evidence Collection.”

In the training session, experts discussed in detail the investigation process, legal aspects, and safety standards related to power theft. The program was extremely useful and informative, with all participants thoroughly understanding the subject and sharing their suggestions.

DHBVN spokesperson Sanjay Chugh stated that the training provided detailed information on the precautions to be taken during the investigation of power theft, legal formalities, and points related to the court process. All participants found it extremely beneficial and practical.

The objective of this training program was to empower officers to prevent power theft and become more competent in the legal process. He stated that such training programs would help increase efficiency and transparency in cases of power theft.

The program was conducted in the presence of VS Mann, Director, HPTI Panchkula, and chaired by Mr. Jitendra Dhull, Superintending Engineer, Operations Circle Faridabad. Consultant (retired Chief Engineer) Sanjeev Chopra and departmental panel advocate BP Sharma participated as expert speakers.

Approximately 600 officers and employees of the Faridabad Operations Circle participated in this training, including executive engineers, subdivision officers, police officers, junior engineers, foremen, linemen, assistant linemen, superintendents, head clerks, CAs, UDCs, and LDCs.
