– He Directed NHAI and District Administration to Take Timely Action and Coordinate

Gurugram : Union Minister of State Rao Inderjit Singh held an important meeting on Friday at the local PWD Rest House regarding the toll plaza under construction at Panchgaon Chowk. Principal Advisor (Urban Development) D.S. Dhesi, Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar, SDM Manesar Darshan Yadav, AGM of HSIIDC Rajiv Goyal, NHAI Project Director Tilak Raj, and officials from the relevant departments were present.

The Union Minister said that NHAI officials should pay special attention to the smooth movement of local villagers and their direct connectivity to major roads during the process of shifting the toll plaza near Panchgaon. During the meeting, he also reviewed the map of the site identified for the toll plaza by the district administration and NHAI.

Rao stated that the site identified between Saharwan and Panchgaon is a sensitive area related to national security, and that the concerned officials have raised some objections. He directed NHAI to consider these objections and proceed with resolving them or finding an alternative location. The Union Minister directed the concerned officials to prepare a detailed plan on this matter and submit it to his office by Tuesday so that a coordination meeting could be held at the central level.

Alternative route arrangement necessary before construction of flyover in Manesar

In the meeting, Rao said that before the construction of the proposed elevated flyover in Manesar, the district administration and NHAI should ensure the provision of an alternative route for smooth vehicular traffic. He suggested that the flyover construction process should begin only after the completion of the Gurugram-Pataudi-Rewari National Highway (352D). This will reduce traffic pressure on National Highway 48 and provide relief to the public from inconvenience.

Rao Inderjit Singh said that the objective of any development plan is considered meaningful only when its direct benefits reach the local citizens. He said that plans should not be limited to construction or infrastructure alone, but must also adequately incorporate public convenience and safety in the area. He asked the officials to make a balanced assessment of the needs of the villagers, ease of transportation and its impact on future industrial expansion of the area before deciding on any project.
