Swift Police Strategy

Upon receiving information, Railway Superintendent of Police, Mrs. Nitika Gehlot, gave the case top priority and immediately took charge of the investigation. Following her instructions, 18 raiding teams were formed under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Faridabad, Mr. Rajesh Kumar. These teams included three police officers each, cyber experts, and experienced personnel capable of in-depth analysis of CCTV footage.

Joining Technology and Field

Police scanned CCTV camera footage from Gurgaon to Anand Vihar Railway Station. The photographs of the suspects were widely circulated by the RPF and Railway Police. Furthermore, given the seriousness of the case, teams were sent to Rajasthan (Kotputli, Alwar) and Uttar Pradesh (Bareilly, Pilibhit).

Operation Pilibhit: A Success Story

While the police team was conducting a search at the Pilibhit Railway Station, the accused sensed the police’s presence. Under pressure, he abandoned the girl and fled the scene. The police immediately took the girl under their protection and, after a medical examination by doctors, handed her over to her family. The girl is completely safe. The family was overjoyed to have their missing daughter back and repeatedly thanked the police.

Local Support and Humanitarian Initiative
The technical surveillance team played a crucial role in this entire operation. Taxi and auto drivers at the Gurgaon Railway Station also actively assisted the police. This cooperation served as an excellent example of police-public participation.

Recent Achievements of the Railway Police
In the past month alone, the Haryana GRP has achieved several remarkable accomplishments. Twenty-four innocent children being illegally transported on trains were rescued and reunited with their families. During the same period, 23 children lost on platforms and trains were found and reunited with their families. Furthermore, two men and nine women who had entered the railway tracks with the intention of committing suicide were rescued and safely returned to their homes.

A Symbol of Public Trust

This Railway Police operation demonstrates that when sensitivity, technology, and teamwork are combined in the right direction, even the most difficult challenges can be overcome. The girl’s safe return home is not only a relief for the family but also a living example of the police’s efficiency and commitment to public service.
