Gurugram : Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Director (in-charge) Sunil Yadav said in a press conference held at PWD Rest House in Gurugram today that the corporation has implemented two important schemes in the interest of employees and employers. These include Spree-2025 and Amnesty Scheme 2025. The objective of these schemes is to bring workers under the ambit of social security and to relieve industries from the burden of litigation.
Spree scheme will run till 31 December 2025
Sunil Yadav said that Spree scheme will remain in force till 31 December 2025. Under this, all those industries and employees, who are not yet connected with ESIC, will be able to register without facing the demand of old dues. Employers can register their industries and employees through ESI portal, Shram Suvidha portal and Company Affairs portal. Employers who register under this scheme will be considered covered from the date of their registration or the date declared by them. Newly registered employees will also start getting ESI benefits from the date of their registration.
Emphasis on voluntary compliance
He said that the basis of this scheme is not punitive action but voluntary compliance. This will reduce the burden of litigation, promote formal registration and create an atmosphere of better trust and cooperation between employers and employees.
Disputes will be resolved through Amnesty Scheme 2025
The Director (in-charge) said that the corporation has also approved the Amnesty Scheme 2025. This scheme is a one-time dispute resolution scheme, which will be in force from October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026. In this, losses, interest and other disputes related to coverage will be settled. The objective of this scheme is to reduce the number of cases and strengthen compliance under the ESI Act while giving relief to employers.
