Chandigarh : Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour, Sh. Anil Vij, came down heavily on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Gopal Rai, saying sarcastically that “An ant is trying to break a mountain,” criticizing AAP’s attitude and cautioning them “not to get too carried away.” Targeting Kejriwal, he added that if something is happening due to a court order, the blame should not be pinned on the BJP. “If Kejriwal has the courage, let him go and fight in court,” he said.

Sh. Vij was responding to media persons’ questions about AAP leader Gopal Rai’s statement that he would “forcibly enter and seize the Prime Minister’s residence.”

During the conversation, Sh. Vij put AAP in its place, asking rhetorically, “Who is Gopal Rai? What is his nature? Is it good etiquette to break into someone’s house and occupy it?” In a warning tone, Energy Minister Anil Vij added that “I believe this is their (AAP’s) nature, but they should not go overboard.”

Responding sarcastically to a question about RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s statement that “if the government has the courage, let it touch the Waqf,” Energy Minister Anil Vij stated that, “The Waqf Board Act has been passed in Parliament. An online portal has been created and everything is being recorded on it. Tejashwi Yadav is not challenging the Waqf Board, he is challenging Parliament itself, because these people have no faith in any constitutional institution of the country.” He added that the Waqf Bill was passed legally and as per parliamentary procedure.

When asked about former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s remark that “the day 4 million people come out on the streets, the BJP will be shaken to the core,” Sh.Vij responded mockingly, saying, “I don’t recall the BJP ever demolishing slums anywhere. The BJP is working for the poor, giving them houses. Funds have been sanctioned for setting up vending zones for street vendors in every city.” He reiterated that “If something is happening under a court order, the BJP cannot be blamed. If Kejriwal has the courage, let him go fight in court.”
