EAM Dr. Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

New Delhi : External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar held wide-ranging discussions with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in New Delhi, reviewing the full spectrum of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.

The talks covered key areas of bilateral cooperation, including trade and energy, defence and security, critical minerals, Artificial Intelligence, nuclear collaboration, and people-to-people ties. Both sides also discussed cooperation in counter-terrorism and counter-narcotics initiatives.

In addition to bilateral issues, the two leaders exchanged views on regional, global, and multilateral developments of mutual interest.

Following the meeting, Dr. Jaishankar said a detailed briefing on the discussions would be shared during the subsequent press conference. He also expressed his anticipation for the upcoming QUAD Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on Tuesday, where he will join Secretary Rubio and counterparts from Australia and Japan.
