GURUGRAM : Continua Kids is a center providing medical therapies and early intervention programs to support the special needs of differently-abled children. The center was formally inaugurated by Mr. Vivek Oberoi, who is the Ambassador of Accessibility India Campaign. With its launch, Continua Kids becomes the first center of its kind to provide multi-disciplinary services for children with special needs.
At Continua Kids, each child goes through an evaluation and developmental assessment by specialized doctors, before getting a treatment plan consisting of therapies best suited to their needs. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including specially designed therapy rooms like those for occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech therapy and others, and a temperature-controlled swimming pool.
Sharing their motivation to build such a center, Dr. Himani Khanna and Dr. Puja Kapoor Co-founders & Directors said, “Continua Kids will ensure that children with uniquely-abled needs are not hindered from achieving their full potential. They should get every opportunity to learn and grow, and live a meaningful life. Our vision is to serve as a social equalizer, and achieve an equal status for all children in society irrespective of their differences.”
Joining the founding team is Mr. Amit Goel, who witnessed parents in his circle having to go from pillar to post searching for various therapies that their children needed. This inspired him to do something to help such parents and make their lives easier.
Some of the conditions addressed at Continua Kids includes Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and others. Continua Kids also seeks to provide guidance and support to parents as they raise a child with unique needs.
