Govt Purchase of 16271.10 Metric Tonnes of Wheat and 17965.70 Metric Tonnes of Mustard

Gurugram, 08 April. Under the Rabi season 2024-25, the arrival and purchase of wheat has started in the mandis of the district. Wheat is being purchased at the minimum support price by government agencies in Farukhnagar, Jatauli and Sohna Mandi in the district. Along with this, a purchase center for wheat has also been set up in Khod near Pataudi. So far, 16271.10 metric tonnes of wheat has been purchased from 2634 farmers at the minimum support price in these mandis. DC Ajay Kumar said that the farmers of the district registered on the Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal should bring their produce to these procurement centers. Farmers should bring their produce to the market after cleaning and drying it thoroughly so that they get a fair price for their produce. He said that adequate arrangements have been made for the convenience of the farmers bringing their produce to the mandis of the district. Proper arrangements have been made for sitting, toilets, drinking water etc. for the farmers.

Details of purchase of wheat mandi-wise

District Food and Supply Controller Saurabh Kumar, while giving information, said that Haryana Ware House Corporation has purchased 3621.10 metric tonnes from 588 farmers in Farukhnagar Mandi of the district, HAFED has purchased 7039.3 metric tonnes from 1764 farmers in Jatauli Mandi and Haryana Ware House Corporation has purchased 3553.1 metric tonnes and 1482.7 metric tonnes of wheat has been purchased from 189 farmers in Sohna Grain Market. An additional purchase center has also been set up in Khod for wheat. Hafed has procured 574.9 metric tons of wheat from 93 farmers at the procurement center set up in Khod. At the same time, the lifting of wheat from the mandis is also continuing. Similarly, the purchase of mustard is also continuing in the district. So far, 17965.70 metric tons of mustard has been procured from 9151 farmers from the mandis of the district. At the same time, 12993.6 metric tons of mustard has also been lifted from the mandis.
