– Farmers should bring the crop after cleaning and drying it thoroughly
Gurugram, March 31 : Gurugram Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Chandra Bidhan said that the concerned officers should discharge their responsibilities with full seriousness so that the farmers do not face any problem during the purchase of crops at grain markets and procurement centers. If farmers face any problem while selling crops in the grain market, then ensure its solution on priority basis. Gurugram Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Chandra Bidhan took stock of the arrangements made in Jatauli Mandi on Monday. The Divisional Commissioner inspected the market and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials regarding the crop purchase process. During this, SDM Dinesh Luhach of Pataudi was also with him.
The Divisional Commissioner said that keeping in mind the interests of the farmers, the Haryana Government is providing all possible support during agricultural production and is also alert to carry out the procurement process of their crops in a transparent manner. He instructed the officials that farmers should not face any kind of problem like electricity, water, toilets and tokens etc. He instructed that there should be sufficient number of gunny bags during procurement. If there is less gunny bags, then contact the higher officials regarding it. The commission agents should have tarpaulin, jharna, weight, sufficient labour and adequate number of sewing machines for stitching the gunny bags. He also talked to the concerned officials and farmers during the inspection of the market. He said that the Haryana Government has made complete arrangements to buy every grain of the farmers’ crop, in such a situation, farmers should become participants and contribute in the procurement process.
He appealed to the farmers to bring their mustard crop to the market after drying and cleaning it properly so that they can get a fair price for their crop. He said that government agencies will ensure that farmers get full benefit of MSP and the procurement process runs smoothly.
Market Committee Secretary Vipin Yadav said that so far 54663 quintals of mustard has arrived in Pataudi Mandi, which is being lifted by Hafed. By the evening of 30 March, 35 thousand quintals of mustard has been lifted from the Mandi.
On this occasion, DM Hafed Suresh Vaidya, District Marketing Enforcement Officer Gurugram Vinay Yadav, Hafed Manager Arun Kumar, Dilip Singh Pehlwan, District Head Dinesh Goyal from Vyapar Mandal, Mandi Head Ajay Mangala, Councilor Anand Bhushan Goyal, other traders and farmers were present.
