Gurugram, March 10 : The Haryana government is constructing a grand and huge Shaheed Smarak on 22 acres of land on the Ambala-New Delhi National Highway-NH 44 near Ambala Cantt to pay tribute to the bravery and martyrdom of the brave soldiers and people involved in the first war of independence. The Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages, Haryana has invited entries from interested persons/designers/artists and the general public to prepare the logo for this Shaheed Smarak. The person whose logo is selected will be given a reward of Rs 1 lakh by the department. The last date for sending entries is 1 April 2025 till 5 pm. The participant will have to follow the prescribed terms and conditions while sending his entries. This information was given by Dr. Kuldeep Saini, Director of Shaheed Smarak. These are the terms and conditions for sending entries:
Dr. Saini said that except the officers and employees of the Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages, Haryana and Samvad Society, all the participants can send their entries to S.C.O. No. 200-201, Sector 17-C, Chandigarh office by the last date 1 April 2025 at 5 pm. After this no entry will be valid. The entry will be based on the theme of the Revolution of 1857 (India’s first war of independence). He said that the logo should have graphic elements, icons, shapes, colors, backgrounds, font layouts etc. The logo should be such that it reflects the identity of the monument. The logo should be inspiring. The logo can be made of any type – classic, vintage and modern. The logo can also have monograms, word marks, historical marks, abstract marks, but it should be ensured that the logo is simple, memorable, relevant, timeless and versatile.
Director Shaheed Smarak informed that the participant will not put any watermark on his logo i.e. he will not write anything on the logo. The last date for sending the logo will be 5 pm on 1 April 2025. All the logos should be in high resolution and should be technically strong with the caption mentioned below. He clarified that the logo selected will be considered the property of the government and the government will be completely free to use that logo anywhere. The participant sending the logo will not have any right over it. No logo should be copyrighted. He informed that there is no age and nationality restriction on the participant but the theme should be based on the Revolution of 1857 (India’s first war of independence). All the logos should have the signature of the participant and the size of the logo should be 12&15. The participant will also have to send his entry and logo by e-mail to [email protected]. The logo to be sent should not have been published or displayed earlier. Participants will have to send their entries through personal email to the above email address. Each logo should be uploaded in JPG-JPEG format and its size should not exceed 10 MB. He informed that the logos prepared by the participants should be sent along with the signed and fully filled registration and declaration form. Once the entry is sent by mail or post, any change/cancellation/addition in it will not be valid.

Dr. Kuldeep Saini informed that the Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages, Haryana reserves the right to disqualify and remove the entry of any participant without any reason or explanation. The entry or logo should not contain any commercial content that promotes any product or service. The organizer reserves the right to change the logo award and amend the rules/regulations if required without prior notice. The logo will be selected by the committee and the decision of the committee will be final. No correspondence related to the selection process and decision will be considered. This process will remain confidential.
