Greater Noida, January 05 :“ Indian Knowledge System (IKS) including Gita-based Needonomics provide solutions to the worldly problems of the present era ”, justified Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Former Vice-Chancellor known as founder Needonomics School of Thought superannuated from Kurukshetra University. He was delivering the valedictory address of a three-day International Conference on ‘Indian Knowledge System for Sustainable Development in the Contemporary World’ organized by Sharda School of Humanities & Social Sciences Sharda University here today. Dr Pooja Vyas Director, Indian Council of Philosophical Research, Lucknow, and Prof O Budarina Institute of Education and Humanities Head, Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, Kaliningrad also spoke at the valedictory function. Prof (Dr) Anviti Gupta Dean, SSHSS & Conference Chair delivered the welcome address.
Prof. Pramod Kumar, Conference Convener presented the report of the event and proposed the vote of thanks. The participants of the three-day event were given certificates.
IKS based on philosophy, spirituality, and culture creates synergy between ancient wisdom and contemporary issues that are necessary for Viksit Bhart towards 2047 and SDGs2030, believes Prof Goel.
To ensure sustainable development in the contemporary world, we have to understand and adopt needonomics in totality which includes needo-consumption, needo-saving, needo-production, needo-investment, needo-distribution, altruism, needo-trade, explained Prof. Goel.
To create demand for the educational product based on IKS, there is a strong case for adopting the NAW (Need to be created, Affordability be ensured, and pricing Worth of) approach to marketing, believes Prof. Goel.
To ensure sustainable development, all the stakeholders have to become street SMART with spiritual input flowing from Gita and Anu-Gita, told Prof. Goel.
All challenges and worldly problems in the present era call for understanding the Gita-based Needonomics with spiritually guided materialism (SGM) strategy for needo-wealth, needo-health and needo-happiness, said Prof. Goel.
We have to address illness in the behavior of all the stakeholders as consumers, producers, distributors, traders, policymakers, and politicians, said Prof. Goel.
