Tokyo : Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held a meeting with a delegation from Tokyo Electron, led by Takeshi Okubo, Corporate Officer and Executive Vice President for Global Sales Division and India Business.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed Tokyo Electron’s investments in India’s rapidly expanding semiconductor ecosystem and explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration in advanced manufacturing.
The discussions also focused on the growing potential for Japanese companies to expand their presence in India’s semiconductor and electronics sectors and become a part of the country’s expanding manufacturing growth story.
India has been taking significant steps to develop a robust semiconductor and electronics manufacturing ecosystem, creating new opportunities for global technology companies and investors. The meeting reflects the growing interest of Japanese companies in India’s technology and advanced manufacturing sectors, as well as the strengthening economic and industrial partnership between India and Japan.
