New Delhi : Delhi Cabinet Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh visited the Arogya Van and Miyawaki Forest at Ekta Nagar near the Statue of Unity in Gujarat, highlighting the importance of integrating environmental conservation, health and traditional Indian practices.
Sahib Singh said the visit provided an opportunity to witness the convergence of nature, environment, health and Indian traditions. The Arogya Van at Ekta Nagar, spread across nearly 17 acres, integrates medicinal plants with Yoga, Ayurveda and meditation.
He described the facility as an inspiring model of environmental conservation and promotion of a healthy lifestyle. The visit comes as Delhi looks to adopt similar approaches to expanding its green spaces.
Sahib Singh said that, following the Gujarat model, Arogya Vans, Miyawaki forests and green spaces featuring native plant species will also be developed in Delhi.
The initiative, he said, is aimed at helping transform the national capital into a better example of clean air, increased greenery and healthy living.
