Gurugram, August 3: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Uttam Singh has announced that Assembly constituency-wise hearing centres have been designated under the Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 programme to facilitate the submission of claims and objections following the publication of the draft electoral roll.
He said voters can submit applications for inclusion of names, deletion of names, and corrections in names, addresses, photographs or other electoral details from July 31 to August 30, 2026, using the prescribed forms at their respective hearing centres.
The District Election Officer informed that all claims and objections will be disposed of by September 28, 2026, while the final electoral roll will be published on October 3, 2026.
He further stated that applications will be accepted daily from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at all designated hearing centres.
DC Uttam Singh appealed to all eligible voters to first verify their names in the draft electoral roll. If any discrepancy is found, they should get it corrected within the stipulated period to ensure that no eligible citizen is deprived of the right to vote.
He said citizens who have attained 18 years of age on or before July 1, 2026, and whose names are not included in the electoral roll of any Assembly constituency, can apply for inclusion through Form-6. Form-7 can be used for deletion of names, while Form-8 should be used for corrections in names, addresses, photographs or other details.
