New Delhi: Dr. Mostafa Goharifar, Deputy Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to India, represented Iran at the BRICS Transport Ministers’ Meeting hosted by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
The high-level meeting focused on strengthening cooperation among BRICS member countries in the transport sector, with discussions centred around developing sustainable infrastructure, improving regional connectivity, and enhancing collaboration in modern transportation systems.
The gathering provided a platform for member nations to exchange views on future-oriented transport solutions and explore opportunities for greater coordination to support economic growth and seamless connectivity.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr. Goharifar attended the official reception organised for the participating delegates, where he was warmly welcomed by Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
The participation of Iran in the BRICS Transport Ministers’ Meeting reflects the growing importance of multilateral cooperation among BRICS nations in building resilient, sustainable and interconnected transport networks.
