New Delhi: The Delhi government has taken another step towards tackling air pollution with the launch of the AI-powered ‘Dust Portal 2.0’ and mobile application at the Delhi Secretariat.
The portal was inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta as part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve pollution monitoring and implement effective dust control measures across the national capital.
Developed by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), the new AI-based platform will enable real-time monitoring of dust management practices at Construction and Demolition (C&D) sites.
The system will allow project operators to carry out self-assessment of dust control compliance, while also making the monitoring, enforcement and response mechanism for dust pollution more efficient and technology-driven.
The initiative aims to ensure better implementation of environmental guidelines at construction sites and contribute towards improving Delhi’s air quality.
On the occasion, Cabinet Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa, along with senior officials from the concerned department, were present during the launch ceremony.
