Embassy of India in Beijing Organises Chair Yoga Workshop, Promotes Wellness Through Simple Yoga Practices

New Delhi /Beijing : The Embassy of India in Beijing organised a special “Chair Yoga: Wellness Within Reach” workshop to promote the benefits of yoga and encourage healthy lifestyle practices among participants.

The event was hosted by the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre (SVCC) at the Embassy of India, Beijing, on 8 July 2026, and was led by renowned Yoga Instructor HN Gangadhar.

The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from attendees joining both in-person and virtually, highlighting the growing global interest in India’s traditional wellness practices.

During the interactive session, participants were introduced to simple and accessible yoga techniques that can be performed comfortably while sitting on a chair, making yoga practices suitable for workplaces, homes, and everyday routines.

The session included gentle stretching exercises, mindful breathing techniques, and relaxing postures aimed at improving flexibility, reducing stress, easing muscle stiffness, enhancing posture, and supporting overall physical and mental well-being.

The initiative reflected the Embassy’s continued efforts to promote India’s rich cultural heritage and the universal message of yoga as a tool for health, harmony, and holistic wellness.
