India and Greece Discuss Collaboration in Renewable Energy, Shipping Sectors

New Delhi / Athens: Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held talks with Stavros Papastavrou to explore ways to expand cooperation between India and Greece in clean energy and emerging technologies.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral collaboration in renewable energy, green hydrogen and other clean technology sectors, with both sides identifying opportunities to deepen their partnership in the transition towards sustainable energy.

The two ministers also exchanged views on enhancing cooperation in emerging technologies and the shipping sector, highlighting their shared commitment to building a secure, affordable, inclusive and sustainable clean energy future.

The meeting forms part of India’s broader efforts to strengthen economic and strategic engagement with Greece across key sectors, including energy, technology and maritime cooperation.
